St Patricks GAC Lisburn

Youth Referees

The Club now has 3 Young Players who are willing to also be referees around Antrim when they need to. the 3 boys are Robert Murtagh, Michael Brannan and Jack Mcmullan as you can see below. (Robert Was Absent at this time.) Michael Left and Jack Right.
The two boys have been refereeing U12 go games at Kirkwoods all year in 2011 and in 2011-2012 they took the course to become a referee and they succeeded and can now referee from U14 downwards.

Michael Brannan Made his Debut referee at Glenavy’s Pitch at a U14 game when Glenavy beat Glenravel and Michael handed out his first ever red card on his debut, one to remember they would say.

These young referees are supported by the Antrim County Board and paid £15 a match and also paid to get to a game so it is good to say the county is doing its best to help provide these young kids doing something that they like while they progress their skills in Refereeing.
