Many thanks for the clarification Nagaho, unfortunately the current Minor team were pipped at the post losing out by a point against St Endas, so on to next season.

NOT SO!!! St Patrick’s minors won the divison 2 league title in 1976. They were managed by the late Gerry Marshall, father of your club secretary Barry. The team won every league match that year with home games played on the old club ground at the bottom of McCormick’s Lane off the Causewayend Road (now the entrance to Sandown Park). That team included players like Sean Eastwood, (brother of Tyrone), Dessie O’Neill, Stephen Agnew, (father of Patrick), the late Damien Brogan, Peter Mulholland Dominic Gorman, Patrick Morgan and Kevin Drayne. Good luck to the current squad and may you add to the minor silverware.

Its great to see that all the hard work started by the committee years ago is starting to bear fruit with the minors seniors and all underage teams starting to be a force to be reckoned with - I think it wont be long until there is a lot of success for all the teams concerned - keep the good work up - chucky

u-12 ‘S PLAYED A FRIENDLY AGAINST ST.PETERS LURGAN on friday 10th April.

The phyiscal stronger St. Peter’s team dominated the match take a great rabge of scores and played some well drilled combination plays. St.patrick’s struggled to keep possession of the ball and made some errors that lead to easy scores for the oppostion. The St.pats boys tried to stem the tide in the second half setting up some scores. However fundamental errors lead to an onslaught from the better balanced st>peters team. St. Patricks players who worked hard throughout the 40 minutes were Ross Watson in goals, Peter O’Neill , Eamonn Compston and Jamie Fraser in defense, Mark Boylan and Conor Hall in midfield and Conor Dixon in the forwards. Philip Mulholland ,Eoin Mulholland, and Alex Hall showed up with encouraging passages of play.
