Under 12 and Under 14 enjoy good wins at Randalstown

On Friday 16th, July the Under 12 team had a very accomplished victory over Tir Na Nog, Randalstown. The home team were very strong and physical but the St Pats team ably led by Peter O’ Neill were able to compete and combined well with free flowing football to take the victory. At half time the score was St Pats 0-5 Tir na Nog 1-2. With a strong breeze at their backs the defence ably controlled by Ruairi Cormican , Regan McCanny  and Conor Dixon took control.  In midfield , Peter O’. Rory Flynn and Cormac Kennedy took good possession and played intelligent passes into an excellent forward line of David McNally, Callum Watson and the mercurial Mattie Fegan. Between them they scored 2-5 in the second half. David scoring two super goals and Mattie Fegan turning and dummying the defender to scorer an exquiste left footed point. Final. Score Tir na Nog 2- 4. St Patricks 2-10.  In the U -14 match the St. Pats team had a run away victory with the half backs, midfield and forwards all taking scoring opportunities to win 7- 16 to 1-3. The U14s have two fixtures left to secure their top 4 league position. and have an opportunity to qualify for the Cup Semi Final.
