St Patricks minors extended their unbeaten run at Kirkwoods against Antrim on Tuesday evening.The young Lisburn side dominated the first half scoring freely with scores coming at will. The full forward line of Connor Mulholland ,Patrick Agnew and Paul Anderson contributing 2-4 with Sean Mullan scoring 1 goal and Conor Beeton and Mark Torbitt 1 point each.With the game at 3-6 to 0-1 at half time several personell and positional changes were made which gave several fringe players and in particular senior U-16 players the opportunity to stake a place for what promises to be an exciting run in to the minor League programme. The Lisburn side went on to score a further 2-4 in the second half to two points in reply from Antrim. Stand in keeper Johnnie French at full stretch to push a penalty over the bar and keep his ’no-goal’ match intact.The game finished 5-10 to 0-3 and scorers for Lisburn were : Paul Anderson 2-2 ;Thomas Burns ,Conor Mulholland and Sean Mullan 1-0 each; Patrick Agnew 0-3 ; Mark Torbitt 0-2 ; with Conor Beeton ,Peter Casey and Ben McMullan 0-1 each. Good performances on the night for Lisburn were Sean Mullan , Stephen Marley and Conor Beeton but Man of the Match performance came from U-16 captain Mark Torbitt ,who put in an assured performance and looked extremely comfortable in the minor set-up.
