St Patricks GAC Lisburn

Strong Tir Na Og hold off brave St Patricks

St Patricks seniors travelled to Randalstown on Sunday the 22/03/09 to take on a surprisingly strong Tir Na Og side.  The team from Randalstown have greatly improved upon last year, as the final score of     2 – 12 to 1 – 05 displayed.

Throughout a hard fought game St Patricks continued to put forth good work rate, with good performances from Hugh McGurnaghan in midfield, and Brendan Dornan  and Thomas Burns in the back line in particular.  Lisburn’s hard work was rewarded with a goal to cap a good shift by Tomas Fay on the forward line, and five other points being shared between Eoin Fay and Peter Casey who lead the forward line, with Stephen McGrath also playing well.

Bearing in mind that this was St Patricks first outing of the season, there were strong performances through out the team, and with continued endeavour bodes well for the future.
