Lisburn GAA held its annual juvenile awards evening, Oíche na hÓige, at St Aolysius’ Primary School on Friday 11th April. The venue was packed for what turned out to be a very memorable event. Fear an Tí for the evening was Dr Martin McMullan and special guests included Alfie Hannaway, Former St Pat’s Schools Development Office and Terry O’Neill, St Gall’s and Antrim Senior Footballer.

The night began with a rousing set of traditional Irish music from St Patrick’s own Scór na nÓg group. This had Catherine Nic Cú Uladh on guitar, Liam Mac Cú Uladh on uilleann pipes and Rose Nic Cú Uladh on tin whistle. They were joined on stage by friends Aoife Ní Chiarain on flute and Sorcha Ní Chiaráin on fiddle.

It was then down to business with the awards presentation. Presentations were made by club officials and invited guests, the full list of winners is in the table below.

The speeches wrapped up with a special thank you to St Aloysius’ Primary School for hosting the event and all retired to the canteen for a generous and tasty supper.
